Sreesanth
SLAPPED BY AN ELDER BROTHER: Sreesanth cried in front of the cameras after
being slapped by Harbhajan Singh, during an IPL match between Kings XI Punjab
and Mumbai Indians in 2008. The IPL acted swiftly, by banning the off-spinner
from the tournament. It looked like the two had moved on, when Sreesanth gave
vent to his feelings five years later, calling Harbhajan a backstabber.
IN YOUR HAIR: Sreesanth and Andrew Symonds weren’t exactly best friends on
the field. This photograph taken during the Kochi ODI between Indian and
Australia in 2007, gives you the picture. Doesn’t it?
BUMPING
INTO MICHAEL VAUGHAN: Sreesanth was fined 50% of his match fees, after
deliberately bumping into Michael Vaughan, during India’s second test against
England, in Trent Bridge-2007
THE
DISCO SIXER: 2006- Johannesburg: After being taunted by Andre Nel for lacking
heart, Sreesanth responded by smashing the South African pacer for six. As
partner VRV Singh looked on, Sreesanth waved his bat around to rub it in, as
Nel walked back to his run-up
BET PUNTER DOESN’T LIKE SREESANTH: After bowling a couple of good
deliveries to Ricky Ponting during a 2011 World Cup warm-up game, Sreesanth had
a couple of things to say to the Australian. It certainly wasn’t appreciation
ADD HAYDEN TO THAT LIST: 2007 T20 World Cup- After wrecking Matthew
Hayden’s stumps, Sreesanth proceeded to celebrate by squat-slapping the pitch.
It was a send-off that cricket fans would never forget.
A
BEAMER FOR PIETERSEN: Trent Bridge- 2007: Sreesanth bowled a beamer at Kevin
Pietersen, who fell flat on the pitch in surprise. The look that he gave
Sreesanth is worth looking at twice
NOT
IN YOUR FACE: 2006-Johannesburg: Umpire Mark Benson was forced to have a word
with Sreesanth after the latter celebrated Hashim Amla’s dismissal, by taunting
him in his face.
